ABC Legal Copy Service uses technological tools to help our clients review important documents in record time and help you avoid extraneous pages of little importance to their case.
OCR(Optical Character Recognition) and Document Indexing are the two easiest ways to review documents in a SHORT AMOUNT OF TIME.
What is OCR?
Optical character recognition is a Adobe Acrobat process used for standard PDF files which allows a user to search through a large PDF file for a particular word or phrase. It makes your PDF file searchable. This is a free service for all ABC Legal Copy Service clients.
What is Indexing?
This is an advanced feature of Adobe Acrobat which allows the user to see an actual index of everywhere a certain word or phrase within a pre designated group of files or file folders.
You don't need to have a full version of Adobe Acrobat to enjoy these great teatures. Adobe Reader allows you to use both OCR and indexing functions and it is free and downloadable from various websites online.

1. Records are digitally reproduced in a PDF format
2. We run Optical Character Recognition (OCR) on the digital file-free
3. Documents undergo the indexing process and tested for accuracy
4. Records are uploaded and encrypted and sent to your email address
5. You download file, search important pages in little time with OCR,indexing

Here is an example of a frequent time line we receive:
On Wednesday: Depositions are set for the following Tuesday. Opposing counsel informs you three boxes of records needed for depo, are now ready to copy but you can't come till Thursday So you call ABC. .
On Thursday: ABC arrives on-site. We copy your files. OCR and Indexing is ran that night and once completed, your office begins receiving "ready-to-review" and "searchable" files.
On Friday: OCR is ran on final set of files. Your office received the files that have been uploaded to your computer and all records are now in your possession.
